Fire Warden/Marshal

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires an employer to assess the suitability of measures currently in place to protect people from the risk of fire.

Additionally, an employer is required to provide suitable instructions, information and training for those members of staff who are responsible for assisting in the Fire Evacuation Procedure.

The employer also has to ensure the fire safety provision along with escape routes are checked and inspected at regular intervals.

This is usually carried out by a competent person known as the Fire Marshal/Warden.
